| A WORD ABOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS
Messinger Woods is blessed with approximately
300 wonderful, caring people that volunteer their time and expertise
toward our common goals. It is obvious that each
person takes pride in the important work that they contribute.
Ultimately, it is easy to see that people who truly care are the reason
that Messinger Woods has been so successful, and continues to grow in
such a positive manner. We would like to take this opportunity to say
thank you to all of the volunteers.
NEW VOLUNTEER POLICY
Effective immediately,
anyone who currently is, or becomes an active volunteer of Messinger Woods
in the future, will no longer be required to pay annual membership dues.
Active volunteers are members who provide at least 2 to 4 hours of
volunteer service once every 2 to 3 weeks. On-site or home care satellite
wildlife care givers, as well as phone dispatchers, or individuals who
assist at fundraising events, or work crews are considered active
volunteers. Members or past volunteers who do not provide any of the above
volunteer time or services are categorized as supporting members and must
renew their membership dues annually. Membership renewal dates appear
after each member’s name on the newsletter mailing labels.
