Frequently Asked Questions About Volunteering

I would like to volunteer, but I don't have a lot of time!

We understand that people have personal commitments and lead busy lives.  Family should always come first!  We can use the help from any member interested in volunteering.  We try our best to schedule meetings, hold events, and arrange volunteer schedules and timeframes with busy lives in mind.  We rely on open communication to allow you to do what you can when it is most convenient for you.  You do what you can ... when you can!!!

What if I want to help but do not wish to work directly with wildlife?

There are many other departments that need help.  Though some departments do not actually do hands on work with animals, all efforts indirectly help the animals and the environment.

Note:  With the exception of students, all volunteers must hold membership with Messinger Woods.  Wood Thrush During Rehabilitation
